How to Find Us

You can access the Heriot’s Centre for Sport and Exercise from the Grassmarket. You’ll need to go up a small side street called Hunter’s Close, where the main entrance is located.

At the top of Hunter’s Close, use the intercom at the gate to gain entry. Press buzzer 2 and the centre’s staff will let you in. Our Black Boar team will greet you in the main reception area.

Please note, you can’t get to the venue from Lauriston Place, it’s only accessible from the Grassmarket.

Travel and Facilities

Transport

You can easily travel to the Heriot’s Centre for Sport and Exercise by public transport, taxi, walking or cycling. Lothian bus services run regularly in the area.

Parking

If you’re coming by car, please be aware that parking in Edinburgh is very restricted, especially in the city centre. There is no car park at our venue, but limited street parking may be available in the surrounding area. You’ll usually need to pay for street parking, and some areas of the city are classified as low emission zones where additional fees may be incurred.

Changing Rooms

There are dedicated changing rooms at the venue, where you can also leave jackets, bags, etc, if you wish to do so. Please note, Black Boar bears no responsibility for personal belongings you choose to leave unattended.

Toilets and Shower Facilities

Toilets are located throughout the venue, and there are shower facilities in the changing room areas.

Food and Drink

There are no food or drink services, but water fountains are available and can be used to refill bottles.
