The current class timetable for our Edinburgh Chapter in Scotland, and how to book.
New Students
You’re welcome to attend classes at any point during the year. Don’t worry if you’ve missed the start of a weapon term, our instructors / teachers tailor our weekly classes to ensure beginners can fully participate.
Timetable
We run 2 standard classes every week, from 19:00 to 20:30.
Mondays
Structured classes suitable for beginners and experienced fencers. Our instructors / teachers will lead smallsword and military sabre terms, guiding students through curriculum fundamentals, enhanced techniques, strategy and free play skills, all the way through to final weapon assessments.
Thursdays
Unstructured classes where approved students can participate in free play and independent weapon study. Individual and group tuition is available for beginners, focused on our current curriculum. Remedial lessons are also offered for students looking for extra practice.
Current Term - Military Sabre
We’re teaching military sabre from January to June 2025. Military sabre is a one-handed cutting weapon, primarily used on the battlefield throughout the 19th century. The basics can be picked up easily, but mastery takes time and practice! Join us in class and explore this powerful weapon of war. For more details, visit our weapons page.
Booking and Payment
To attend classes, you must purchase either a monthly membership subscription or class ticket from our online shop.
Please note, we don’t accept card or cash payments at our venue and entry to classes won’t be permitted without prior purchase. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
You must be aged 18 years or over to attend classes. Participants must adhere to our safety standards and rules. All sales are subject to our terms of use.
